'No man feels complete when a woman feeds him' – Actress sparks debate

Acclaimed Nigerian actress Dr. Eucharia Anunobi has made a statement on gender roles in society and certain characteristics of men, a topic that has sparked conversations among netizens.

During a discussion on 'The Honest Brunch' podcast shared on TikTok on March 10, 2026, she stated that no man feels worthy without money.

Eucharia explained that many men feel less confident about themselves when a woman provides for them, adding that men should have their own source of income to support women.

“There is no man who feels like he is a complete man when a woman is feeding him. Forget it, don’t let anybody deceive you. There is no man. A man wants to be able to tell the woman to sit down there and keep quiet. It’s just a male thing; you can’t take it away from a man.

“That’s why a man needs to have his own money. Because if you say you want to depend on my money, you will naturally feel less like a man. Even if I don’t say anything, you may still feel like I have said something,” she added.

Citing herself as an example, Dr Anunobi added that despite the wealth she has, she still finds joy in receiving money from a man.

According to her, regardless of how rich a woman may be, many still feel happy and fulfilled when a man provides for them.

“Not that the woman will not add or contribute, but a man just wants to be the provider. As for me, I’m all female, and I want to be taken care of. I want a man to give to me. I want to stretch my hand and collect your money. The joy of a woman is having her man give to her and say, take this and cook soup. That’s the joy.

“Truth be told, don’t let anybody deceive you. Every woman, even if she is a billionaire, still finds joy in receiving from her man. Unless some women tell me I’m wrong, but for me, even if I am a millionaire and you are a thousandnaire, I would still want you to give me something from your own money. That gives me joy,” she maintained.
