Gospel musician Jack Alolome has clarified that his decision to create a campaign song, "JM Begye Yen," for NDC Presidential Candidate John Mahama was not driven by financial gain.
In an interview with Joy FM, Alolome stated that he acted out of his own free will to support Mahama's policies.
He, however, added that while he wouldn't reject any appreciation that comes with the song's release, his primary concern is to help "rescue the country from the hands of the NPP."
"No one has given me any money... I thought about the country first before doing the song. If anything comes later, Praise God. If that doesn’t happen too, all I am concerned about is to help rescue the country from the hands of the NPP,” he explained.
Jack Alolome joins a list of musicians who have composed songs for the NDC, including Nacee and Jewel Ackah.
Several entertainment personalities, such as Big Akwes, Christiana Awuni, Mercy Asiedu, and Kofi Okyere Darko, have also publicly endorsed the NDC.
