According to popular gospel musician Gifty Osei, it’s not fair to exclude the Gospel Music Album Of The Year category from the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
The musician made this known after Charter House’s revelation yesterday, that the category wouldn’t be included, due to the fact that no gospel album submitted had three hit songs, which was a requirement for consideration in the awards scheme.
The 2012 Gospel Album Of The Year winner said in a recent interview..;
“Though I did not file for nomination, It is not fair that they take that category out . It is not easy to come up with a song, shoot a video and promote it.
‘This category I would say, sells us and puts us on the map as gospel artistes and if things will be like this then the question is how do we sell,” she said.
“I pray it will be this year but if it’s something that will be permanent then it will be a worry. They should bring it back.”
