A Choral Group, Jesus and Mary Youth Choir, last Saturday launched its maiden gospel album titled ?Nyame Wo Ho? at the Osu Ebenezer Presby hall in Accra.

The album was launched with inspiring musical performances from the Winneba Youth Choir, the Osu Youth Choir and launchers of the album themselves, the Jesus and Mary Choir.

The album, composed of 12 songs, has danceable tracks like Ahenfo hen oreba, The Lord is my strength, Praise ye the Lord, My Lord is faithful and I will praise your holy name.

Other interesting tracks are I am covered, Aseda nka wo Ewurade, oye mabandenden, ose aseda, yehyia wo din mu as well as blow your trumpet.

All songs on the album are inspirational and boosted the more with danceable tunes.

The performance of the Jesus and Mary Choral Group attracted all the invited guests who were compelled to dance and sing alongside the choir, to glorify the good Lord.

Personalities as Madam Joyce Aryee, Mrs. Issabella Poku, Faustina Nelson as well as Mc of the ceremony, Gifty Anti of Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC), were also left with no option than jump onto the dance floor to boogy.

Peace Fm presenters, Fiifi Banson, Mufty Dabre and Akwesi Aboagye were also not left out, as they danced to show appreciation for the group?s performance.

Hampers containing CDs and Cassettes which were displayed for auction, were soon in short supply as they were hustled for shamelessly.

Giving a brief history about the group, Mrs. Issabella Poku, its founder disclosed it had been in existence for two and half years now and its main aim was to develop into one of the best choral groups in Ghana and abroad.

The group which comprises exuberant young men and women, according to her, over these few years, had performed live in Kumasi, Swedru and Cape Coast.

It performed also at certain functions in Accra, such as the celebration of the Ghana @ 50 choral festivals organised at the forecourt of the State House in Accra recently.

She concluded, stating that their target at the moment was to set up music and computer schools to upgrade the skills of members of the choir in the near future.
