OK names Abedi Pele as perfect role model

Ghanaian writer, creative director and entrepreneur Okyeame Kwame (OK) has labeled Ghana legend Abedi Pele as his perfect role model.

The highlife artiste in an exclusive interview with TV3 could not hide his admiration for the former Black Stars and Olympic Marseille player whom he described as a role model with a difference.

“Sometimes when I’m working and I get tired, I think of a player like Abedi Pele.

“I imagine what he goes through to get me that satisfaction or that happiness I feel when I watch him play.”

He recounts how Abedi Pele would wake up at dawn, exercise, hit the gym, run, jump “and does all those things; plus when he is playing, he is kicked in the head, pushed but no matter what,he gets up and fights again.

“That is the type inspiration that he gives me and I believe if government uses that kind of imagery to encourage young people, I believe Ghana will move in the right direction.”
