Ace recording engineer, Fred Kyei Mensa aka Fredyma has told the General Overseer of the international God’s Way Church, bishop Daniel Obinim that he saved him from the June 3, 2015 floods and fire disaster which claimed the lives of over 200 people, leaving some injured and properties lost.
Fredyma who visited the church last week, gave a testimony at one of their church services which was telecast on OBTV, Flex newspaper report indicates.
He recounted that had it not been Obinim who ‘spoke’ to him not to go to his studio located around circle, he would have been among the flood victims.
“I was going to take a bass combo from the studio for somebody but just when I was about leaving with my son, you (Obinim) spiritually appeared to me and told me not to go. You ‘arrested’ me so I didn’t go,” he told the Bishop.
Fredyma continued that he believed in the Bishop so much that anytime he was leaving home, he kissed the picture of Bishop Obinim on the Obinim miracle sticker he had placed on his door. So on the day of the disaster he did same and the Prophet ‘spoke’ to him not to go.
Few hours later the place where his recording studio is situated had been flooded killing hundreds, destroying property and causing some injured. According to the owner of Fredyma studios and the Minor Rhythms Band, all his equipment had been destroyed by the floods including some files that had a documentary he was coming up with.
“All my things were spoilt but I thank God for my life and Bishop Obinim. As for me, I believe in him. He is a true man of God. Could you believe about 25 people died in front of my studio around circle? So imagine if I went there. I would have been dead too,” he intimated.
He said he began to follow the prophet and visiting his church for the past nine months after his wife had once gone to the church to have been told some secret of his [Fredyman’s] life. He said he was marveled that the man of God could tell a secret of his life when he had not met him before.
Responding to the testimony, Prophet Obinim at the service said that Fredyma once went to him tell him that he wanted to take him as his spiritual father so sometimes he goes to the church to help the sound engineers set the sound of their equipment.
The venerated recording engineer has trained sound engineers such as Jay Q and Appeitus and has worked with most of the successful musicians in the country.
