Creative Records CEO Appietus in an interview with Happy 98.9 FM’s Dr Cann has revealed Obour pockets close to GH¢2,500 every month as MUSIGA president.
The multiple hit maker and Dansoman based producer who declared his intentions to run for the MUSIGA Presidency believes the GH¢3000 filing fees is okay.
Arguing on Showbiz Xtra, the Azonto Fiesta maker told Dr Cann;
I’m surprised with the announcement of this GH¢3000 filing fees because that’s not the price they took in the last elections. I am sensing that since I declared my intentions to run for the seat, Obuor is trying to make it difficult for me to contest but three thousand is nothing to me so it’s not a problem. Even if they take GH¢10,000, we will file for the nomination.
“To me the GH¢3000 is cool.
“I know the politicians are paying about GH¢25,000 filing fees but we musicians also have money and we play shows and get more than GH¢3000 per show, if you are going to vie for a position like that and your pay is going to be GH¢2,500 a month which might probably increase before you enter office then the filing fees is okay. I think Obour is receiving GH¢2500 at the moment. So whoever wants that position should be able to put up GH¢3000 to file.
“I’m not worried about that filing fee at all.”
