The heat on the Minister of Power in Ghana about the end to the power crisis in the country has increased with another strong warning from Ghanaian finest and funniest movie star Esumman Kofi Davis, known in showbiz as Oboy Salinko.
The versatile actor was on Bekwai-based radio Dess fm 90.3 - Dess Entertainment- on Saturday, hosted by Mawuli Ekpe Peter (Abro) and Anning Ogee Oscar, as he spat out this warning when he was asked to give his final message.
"I will like to tell the Power Minister, Hon Kwabena Donkor that he can't deceive we Ghanaians. We are not kids to be told you will end Dumsor just to turn yourself to come back telling us you didn't say that. This man is telling us that he said he will end load shedding and not Dumsor. What we know is he said he will resign if that doesn't come to light. If by the end of this year and the Dumsor is still not solved, we will not sit there to watch this man on post. In fact, brother, we are suffering. This Dumsor thing has cost us a lot."
The power crisis has been a very big challenge for the people of Ghana for some years now.
The President of Ghana, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama in an attempt to solve this problem created a new ministry, the Power Ministry, with Dr. Kwabena Donkor as the minister.
The minister, Hon Kwabena Donkor after assuming office made it public that he will end this national canker by the end of 2015, or will resign if the Dumsor doesn't stop.
A few months to the end of the year, 2015, the minister has said that he did not say he will end Dumsor but rather, load shedding.
This statement from the minister has received several lashes from politicians and other citizens, with the recent heat and warning from one of the finest actors in Ghana, Salinco.
