Obrafour was on eTV’s The Late Nite Celebrity Show to talk about his upcoming collaborations with EL, Efya and RedEye. The Nkontompo rapper amongst other things touched on how much he made from royalties.
“Last year my new manager got some royalties from GHAMRO. Before this administration, my ex-manager went for the money and I had never received anything from them before.
“That was 2010, it was my ex-manager who was bothering me with the fact that I had to go take my royalties. This administration was not yet in place and they gave me GHC 120 but we had to register GHC20 to get that money. That was after 10 years of music.
“Just last year, my new team went there and they gave us GHC 800. So that’s like 5 years after the GHC 120 I received. So the new administration did well compared to the other group. We all know it’s not the best but we can do better.”
