Ghanaian soccer fans that traveled to Pretoria, South Africa, to support the Black Stars partied and danced deep into the night on Sunday evening after Ghana gave Africa its first victory in the maiden FIFA World Cup to be held on the continent by thumping Serbia 1-0.

Hundreds of overjoyed Ghanaians wearing the red, yellow and green colours of Ghana joined their compatriots who are permanently residing in Pretoria to celebrate the grand occasion. Held at Times Four Square in Pretoria, the programme was dubbed a ‘Night with the Stars.’

And just as the name goes, the event was indeed graced by household Ghanaian musicians who performed to the satisfaction of the ecstatic-looking soccer fans. Prominent among Ghanaian musicians that displayed their singing prowess on the day was Obrafuo, who rocked the show with his exceptional stage craft.

The other musicians who also performed at the show gave a good account of themselves and they included K.K. Fosu, Plus and Mimi, as well as other upcoming music stars.

Though the event was billed to commence at 9:00pm, the Times Four Square, venue for the event, was filled to capacity by 8:00pm; and still some anxious fans were seen pushing one another in anticipation of getting access to the show.

Organized by a Ghanaian who is based in South Africa, Kofi Pinkrah, each person was charged 100 Rand before getting the chance to enter and party in the underground venue.

Mimi got the whole show started with some nice performances, followed by a display from K.K. Fosu and A-Plus, before it was climaxed by an extraordinary display by Obrafuo, who set the house on fire with his scintillating music and beautiful stage skills.

In fact, soccer fans were seen dancing for close to five hours non-stop, as each musician mounted the stage to show what he was made of, until the event came to a close at 2:00am when the weather was at freezing levels.
