Ofori Amponsah Chases Former Manager

Reliable information reaching peacefmonline from Ofori Amponsah’s camp indicates that, the silky singer is hard on the heels of his former manager Frank Agyekum inundating him with calls to help him promote and market his new and yet be released album.

According to sources close to All4Real, the singer has placed several calls to Frank for renegotiation and renewal of his contract as manager, but reports say Frank is reluctant to take up the position.

Peacefmonline placed a call to 4Reec Entertainment, Ofori Amponsah's label to find out the truth in the matter.

Madam Elizabeth Aboagyewaa who claims to be, Ofori Amponsah’s Personal Assistant, would not deny or confirm that All4Real is trying to get Frank back.

“Frank is Ofori’s former manager and they are still very good friends. They meet and talk when they have to, but as to whether Ofori wants him back as his manager, I can’t really tell. There might be a possibility but I don’t know for now,” Lizzy responded.

Asked who is the current Manager of Ofori Amponsah, Lizzy said she is the one doing everything for him now as his manager and special Assistant.

When Frank was reached for his side of the issue, he confirmed that the “Otoolege” singer has called him a couple of times to speak with him about his new album.

“I have even met him in his house to listen to some of the tracks on his new album and gave some advice,” he said.

According to him, Ofori has expressed his desire to work with him again but they have not agreed on anything yet. Even though Frank and Ofori’s relationship ended on a sour note, Frank said he would not mind managing him again because “it's strictly business and nothing else”.

Frank Agyekum was the manager of Ofori Amponsah for three years and was part of his successful collection of hit albums like “Sardine” and “Rakia”.

However, their relationship went bad when Ofori Amponsah announced at a press conference at the Alisa Hotel in 2006, that Frank Agyekum was no more his manager, because Frank allegedly took an amount of GH¢800 which was supposed to be part payment for Ofori to perform at a TESCON event in honour of Otumfour Osei Tutu II.

Ofori failed to attend because he claims Frank took the money without informing him. This happened at a time when Frank had led Ofori to produce some of his greatest hits including the “Otoolege” album which won him seven awards at the Ghana Music Awards in that year.

All4Real, who was on holiday in Germany, is back in town to put finishing touches to his new album. The album is expected to be released later this year after the World Cup tournament in South Africa.

Peacefmonline is also reliably informed that, the “Odwo” hit maker is bringing back “The Camp” made up of Baroski, Kofi Nti and Richie Rich who helped him churn hits like “Otoolege” and “Emmanuella”.
