Prophet Kumchacha
The head pastor of Heaven’s Gate Ministries, Nicholas Osei, popularly known as Prophet Kumchacha, has shared his views on Ohemaa Mercy’s claim that God approved of her divorce.
According to Prophet Kumchacha, while he has no personal issue with the gospel singer’s divorce, claiming that God influenced her decision raises concerns.
He referenced the Bible, explaining that many people misinterpret various voices they hear as the voice of God, which is not always the case.
“I do not have any problem when a lady seeks divorce from her marriage; she alone knows what she is going through, but our friend said God told her she should end her marriage. I have an issue with why she said God directed her to end her marriage. We have a number of voices that speak to us where we sometimes think it is God, but it is not God,” he said when he made an appearance on United Showbiz.
Prophet Kumchacha also stated that Ohemaa Mercy should have kept that aspect of her life private.
“I wouldn’t have shared such a secret in public if it was me. She shouldn’t have said God told her to divorce her husband. You can decide to do something but do not pin it on God,” he retorted.
He added, “I have collapsed more than 100 marriages and still ending marriages.”
