Reggae Artiste and MUSIGA Chairman for Greater Accra Region, Ras Appiah, led a delegation of the union to pay a visit to rapper, Okomfo Kwaadee, who in recent times was reported to been abandoned at a psychiatric home by his family.
Ras Appiah in an interview with Zylofon Fm, shared his thoughts about the Rapper’s current state which has been considered by many as being unhealthy.
The Executives of the Musicians Union Of Ghana (MUSIGA) made donations worth thousands of cedis to Okomfo Kwadee.
“First of all what I can confirm is that, Okomfo Kwaadee is mentally sound and very happy. We met him yesterday and the board of Willingway Foundation Ghana and also some inmate of the center. One thing I can also assure you is that Okomfo Kwaadee does not live at the rehabilitation center but he’s rather living with the founder of the center, Madam Lydia Abena Manu. Okomfo Kwaadee is also an ambassador for the foundation. The brother is sound in mind, that I can say, even though he takes his medication and all.” He told Zylofon FM
He disclosed a conversation they had with the rapper, saying he is coming back into the industry with loads of amazing songs and would like to be signed on to Zylofon Music Record Label.
Ras and his team donated several items, including water, assorted drinks and an undisclosed amount of money to Kwadee and the Willing Way Rehabilitation center.
X Doe, Barima Sydney, Bless Boateng and several other media players supported the initiative to visit their colleague.
