Okyeame Kum Okyeame Kojo Kum needs no introduction, but to refresh people?s minds, the dreadlocked young man is the brain behind one of the hottest songs on the hiplife scene today, ?Enye Mania? which features deceased hiplife star Terry Bonchaka.

The song which has received immense airplay has garnered him acclaim and he is gradually warming himself into people?s heart.

He might also be remembered for his contribution on fellow dreadlocked friend, Obrafour?s hit song Twe Wo Ho on the latter?s Asem Sebe album on which he did an impressive rap that has lingered on people?s minds till date.

His debut album Odo Asendua has been out for some time and if the songs on the album are anything to go by, another hiplife star has landed. It is an eight track album with Enye Mania taking the cake as the best song on the album.

Enye Mania is a rendition of Dr Paa Bobo?s song of the same title. Obviously Terry Bonchaka?s signature rap has a great impact on the song and contributes to making it a hit even though the rap is also very good.

His ?Asem Ben Ni? refrain can be heard on the lips of many everywhere. Not too much words are needed to describe this song as judging by the airplay it is receiving and people?s response to it, it is already a hit.

Another potential hit track is ?Odo Asendua?. On the track, Okyeame Kojo borrows from a popular Presbyterian tune Yere Tutu Yen Nan and fuses it with his own rhythm and beat making it very enjoyable.

One gets a good feel of the song through the trombone whose impact on the song is great. Also highly danceable, it comes with a chorus that is beautifully done.

?Yoomo Bega? is another track that deserves mention. Featuring Black Biny (His voice closely resembles that of Batman?s) who mixes well with Okyeame Kojo, it is also in the fast paced vein and is done in Ga and Twi.

?Asem Kese? is about his arrival onto the hiplife scene and features Okra Minaana. Of course one can expect the usual bragging that can be found on songs like this as he goes on and touts his arrival as something extraordinary infusing his words with a lot of proverbs.

Other songs are Odo Pilolo, Bre Wo Ho Ase featuring Okra/Hot Core and Owuo featuring Nsidie as well as instrumentals of Yoomo Bega, Odo Asendua and Enye Mania.

If Okyeame Kojo Kum continues at the pace with which he has started, he will be a force to reckon with in no time and rub shoulders with those at the top.

The album was produced by Nana Akwasi Asa Mensah for Agiecoat Productions.
