Ghanaian hiplife artiste Kwame Nsiah Apau popularly called ‘Rap Doctor’ has outlined reasons behind his O.K brand book.

The ‘small small’ hitmaker who is the first Ghanaian to possess a brand book on January 31, 2017 launched the highly anticipated book.

According to him, the book explains his brand values and principles as well as things connected to his brand.

Speaking with host of Ultimate Brunch and Lunch Naa Klordey, he remarked that the book which was written by his wife Mrs Annica Nsiah- Apau embodies activities he embarks on as an artiste.

‘I didn’t write the book, I only helped with designing some of the pages. My wife developed the idea behind the book, it took her two years to write the book, the brand book is like an instruction book on how to work with Okyeame Kwame to get the best out of him. The book entails the mission and visions, brand values, boundaries, things I will do and things I wouldn’t do. I don’t know of any artiste in Africa or in the world who has launched a brand book. It’s not an old phenomena, its not something you can do easily. It involves a lot of research, designs, you also need to understand your case study properly. We could have launched it earlier but it wasn’t at a level we wanted the world to hear. Its about creating creative content,’ he explained.

He indicated that one of the pages in the book explains that the O.K brand will not be associated with politics or religion, nor usage of guns in his music videos.

Highlighting on his logo O.K, he said, its simply the initials of his name Okyeame Kwame adding that the O is written like a complete circle meaning perfection.

He entreated his colleagues to draft brand books to push their brands, ‘well its a good thing for an artiste to have his/her own brand manual, you need a brand architect who will spend time with you to do a research about what people view about you, it will be an amazing thing if all artistes in Ghana have brand guidelines’.

The ‘Rap Doctor’ further expressed appreciation to his team for working hard to push his brand.
