Popular Ghanaian Hiplife musician Okyeame Kwame’s hit music video for “No Competition,” featuring Kuami Eugene, has been featured in the end-of-semester exams at the University of Media Arts and Communication-Institute of Journalism (UniMAC).
Additionally, the video served as part of the study material for the African Anthropology class this semester.
Students were tasked with analyzing the music video to explore how it reflects and preserves African heritage amidst modern influences.
Reacting to this, the celebrated wordsmith took to social media to share his excitement about being part of the academic curriculum.
In his post, Okyeame Kwame praised UniMAC for incorporating his work into their studies, celebrating the opportunity to contribute to cultural education through his artistry.
"Look at what GIJ just did. They put our art in academia and questioned students during exams. This is so encouraging," he posted.
Okyeame Kwame joins other notable Ghanaian artistes including Kofi Kinaata, Black Sherif and Amerado who have also featured on various examinations in institutions across the country.
