Okyeame Quophie of Akyeame fame has lauded his former partner, Okyeame Kwame for his achievements on the Ghanaian music scene.

This is the first time Quophie has on record, admitted Kwame is doing well for himslef even after their separation.

Quophie had always taken a superior stance whenever issues regarding the two of them are brought up in interviews.

Akyeame who fell out about 10 years ago were once Ghana’s most formidable music duo and had given people some of the greatest tunes in their days.

Some of their popular tracks include Masan Aba, Asa Aba So and Menko Medo.

But in a nasty turn of events, the two got at each other's throats and chose the path of solo careers.

Quophie is on record to have said Kwame would struggle without him because "I was the one who wrote all the songs we did together and he knows it".

Meanwhile, during the Starr Chat programme on Wednesday December 17, 2014 where Okyeame Kwame was the guest, Quophie who was called in as a surprise guest told the host, Kwabena Anokye Adisi he was proud of his old friend.

“I really thank God for his life. He deserves everything that he is getting now in life. I know that everything he is getting he worked for it, he had to put his blood sweat and tears into it and he is getting it and he is very much deserving of it,” Quophie said cheeringly.

“I am so happy about all the successes that he has chalked. It means that whatever God says, would have to come to pass before the world comes to an end,” he added.

Asked if he thought it would be possible for the two of them to collaborate on a track in the near future, Quophie answered, “If it is the will of God definitely it will come to pass”.

Meanwhile, Okyeame Kwame has also for the first time revealed they decided to part ways because at the time, the synergy between them was lost as they both developed different priorities.

“There are two types of artistes Bola, there is the Bob Marley [who] believes in frequency no matter how big he is he would still go out there and kick soccer with the boys in the hood, and there is also Michael Jackson who would stay at home all day and come out, take his millions and go and hide again. I am Bob Marley and Okyeame Quophie is Michael Jackson,” Kwame said casually.
