One on one with Dj Ohemaa Woyeje

In Ghana,the radio industry is mostly dominated by males.One of the very few ladies who are really logging toe to toe with the men is Harry Adjoa Yeboah Asiamah aka Dj Ohemaa Woyeje.

Ohemaa Woyeje,who presents Adom Fm’s mid-morning show “Work and Happiness” is the only Ghanaian radio presenter who speaks more than six languages.Oh Yes,she is a multi lingual presenter who speak Hausa ,Ga, Fante, Dagbane, Ewe,Bono, Rasta Fari, and English.

Born in Sunyani,Ohemaa is the only female among her six siblings .She attended Sunyani Secondary school then to media net consult where she had her professional training in broadcasting then started her career in radio at Spirit Fm in Kumasi in 2003.

Unlike Happy Fm’s Dr Cann,Radio Gold’s Okyeame Ayensu Badwimba and Hot Fm’s Odifour Asare aka Otwinoko who confirmed to razzonline.com that they were brought up in a discipline home and received trainings that have greatly impacted their careers, Ohema Woyeje though she mentioned that her father is from the Brong Ahafo Region and her mother is half Ga/Fante, failed to ascertain whether her career in radio was also impacted by her parents training.

Her show on Adom Fm which had a nomination at the just ended Radio and Television awards(RTP) is a cosmopolitan show that runs from 10am to 12pm Monday to Friday produced by one of the finest radio producers of our time,Papa Bills who is also a dj.

.Many people anticipated that Papa Bills was the one who normally dj her songs .But no,Ohemaa is one of the few female presenters who Dj as well. Her passion for presenting the show is overwhelming. It is extremely refreshing to watch Ohemaa Woyeje Dj and present her show at the same time.
