Fancy Gadam
Tamale-based artiste, Fancy Gadam has played down claims by some sections of the public that he does not deserve to win the coveted artiste of the year because he is a 'local champion'.
According to him, to has proven beyond reasonable doubt that he deserves the crown for the year under review because he has worked hard than any artiste in the country.
Fancy Gadam who was speaking to Bolgatanga-based A1 Radio's Kofi Asante indicated that people saying he has not performed in a show outside the country so he does not deserve the feat are clueless people.
He indicated that the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards is not called "International Music Awards" and therefore the efforts of an artiste in the country is judged rather than what he/she does outside the country.
Fancy indicated that he is winning the coveted award and no one can stop him from doing that.
