Education they say has no end and the key to success thus a yardstick to higher heights in life.
After so many years of completing Senior Higher School, Dadie Opanka finally decided to go back to his Alma Mata, Our Lady Of Mercy (OLAMS), a school that impacted knowledge into him and unearthed his musical career making him a household name today to officially start the maiden edition of "Opanka Say No to Drugs and Alcohol High School Tour" on Friday 22nd January 2016.
The event is aimed at educating students at the second cycle institutions on the need to abstain from drugs and alcohol and the dangers associated with such practices.
The event which was in 2 folds saw Opanka in his original old school uniform taking time to educate the students of OLAMS on the need to abstain from alcohol and drugs and also giving them the opportunity to ask him questions pertaining the theme for the tour and his musical career as well.
The students were blown away and couldn't hold their feelings back when they saw Opanka in his yellow and blue old OLAMS school uniform talking to them while some even doubted it was the exact uniform he wore during his school days.
This brought back nostalgia feelings creating an atmosphere of fun and laughter between Opanka and the entire student body present with surprises written on the faces of the teachers as they least expected to see him in his uniform.
The second phase of the event was the climaxing part where Opanka entertained the students with wonderful songs such as Taste, Hajia, Awoof Apae his current banger which got the students dancing their heart out and singing on top of their voices.
