Organisers of VGMA cheated me – Kofi Kinaata

High-Grade family singer, Kofi Kinaata has said he felt cheated when he was not nominated for Artist of the year at this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

Speaking in an interview on Accra-based Happy FM, the singer said “I felt cheated in this year’s Ghana Music Awards because how can I be nominated for highlife song of the year and also a songwriter of the year and not be nominated for the biggest category of the night which is the artist of the year? That was really disappointing”.

Addressing issues with regards to a supposed rift between him and his comrade, Pappy Kojo, the singer said “People think I have a beef with my fellow Fante brother who is also in the game, Pappy Kojo. In fact, he was my neighbour back in Takoradi and we are good friends”.

He hinted of future collaboration with some great artists in Africa and out of the African continent.
