Born in the early years at a small village in the Asante-Akyem area, he began his primary education at Obuasi where he finally completed the Obuasi Catholic School.
No one ever thought that the dreams of the once shy looking teenager would materialize to make him an actor, until he featured in one of the then popular, "Akan Drama" series which was telecast every Sunday on the nation's premier, Ghana Television1.
Originally called Charles Kofi Ntim but known in public circles as 'Osofo Moses,' he told the paper how he desired to be an actor at a very tender age when concerts were organized at his village Having a foresight in acting, he always participated in school drama, being a member of the acting drama club, and this was a stepping stone for his dreams.
He took a sober reflection of the numerous roles played during his early childhood days when he used to play an active role in his school drama club, playing the role of King Solomon, a role that all children would like to play, considering the fame and worthiness of the king.
In an interview with the train, he said his luck began some years ago when he met one Mr. Joseph Nyarko who invited him to see a man he called Uncle Ebow.
Meeting Uncle Ebo was partially in fulfillment of a long-standing dream since he was ready to be introduced into the profession of acting.
At one of such meetings with Uncle, as he calls him, after a bit of guidelines, he was asked to justify his inclusion in an Akan drama series by playing the role of a pastor, obviously due to his soft-spoken and calm -looking nature, under the name "Osofo Moses."
His performance in the first series marveled the crew who later decided to engage him as an active member of the guild.
After playing his usual role of an all time pastor efficiently to the satisfaction of lovers of the once popular TV series for 14 years, he coiled into his shell to fulfill what he describes as "the call" to serve the maker.
He noted that, the rotation of the other Drama groups in various languages is the cause of his absence from the scenes because his turn to play a role comes only after every three months, which has obviously killed his interest.
He is currently featured in a TV series "King James Hotel", which was aired a couple of times but folded up till recently when it resurfaced.
On the issue of Nigerian movies which have gained such prominence that they have generated heated debates considering the low patronage of those of Ghana, he blamed the Ghanaian movie producers for always putting monetary ambitions in the fore, thus mostly ending up producing poor quality movies.
"The treatment of actors and actresses by producers is so bad, no wonder most artistes feel confounded acting in Ghana," he stressed.
To him, the Actors Guild of which he is a member has nothing to offer the movie industry until there is unity in the Guild, adding that most of the movie makers tend to disregard the local artistes, because they act using the local language while on the contrary, they use the English language.
Married with three kids, Charles hopes to be a good father and husband to his family though most of the time he is out of home.
For now, he hopes to keep acting and combine his pastoral duties, to the glory of God.
