Rock Da Vote, an innovative entertainment vehicle created by Ovation International, has hit the cities of Sunyani and Tamale to promote the magazine’s Special Edition on President John Dramani Mahama.

The event which is usually a fun-filled evening of music, dance, speeches and readings from the Special Edition, is also used as an opportunity to show on-the-spot videos of the different infrastructural interventions of the Mahama administration which are the main focus of the Special Edition.

During the events, Ovation Publisher, Chief Dele Momodu explained that he decided on the nation-wide tour to showcase the wonderful work of President Mahama because his magazine was established 20 years ago to celebrate Africa and Africans who are making remarkable developmental strides and touching the lives of the people.

He stated that what the magazine has done through the Special edition's pictures and interview with the President was merely to present facts, and there was nothing wrong in promoting Ghana to the world.

In Sunyani, the ceremony was held at the Eusbeth International Conference Centre and the venue was filled to capacity when the show kicked off at 8pm.

Guests, made up of mostly youths and students of various institutions around the area, were entertained with good quality music by Patchbay Band as well local sensation, Kooko.

Things were not so different in Tamale. Apart from the usual line-up, guests also had fun watching a short clip “Osuofia in Ghana” which showed the popular Nigerian comedian’s shocking reaction to the transformation at the Kotoka International Airport, Accra on his arrival in Ghana. Of course, Don Sligli, the hottest artiste in Tamale was also on hand to add a touch of spice to the night.

The Rock Da Vote Concert which is aimed at galvanizing youths and emphasizing the need for peaceful elections come December 7, 2016 has so far been hosted in eight Regions of Ghana.

The organizers are set to storm Bolgatanga later today, Monday, September 21, and on Tuesday, September 22, 2016, it would round off the regional tour at Wa, the capital of Upper West Region.
