Starr 103.5 FM is warming up to tear up the Bella Roma Lounge and Bar in Osu, Accra with a mega bash to celebrate the start of live programming.
Performing at the Starr Party, which comes off this evening, September 10 is Nigerian rapper Ice Prince and Ghanaian act D Black.
Starr FM, which went live on August 4, 2014 with a 5-week long test transmission, began normal programming on Monday, September 8.
The first day was a success with Starr presenters Kafui Dey, Naa Ashorkor Doku Mensah, Kwabena Anokye Adisi aka Bola Ray, John Germain, Henry Asante, Dennis Merpuri, and the News team putting out their best.
Accra went buzzing after the first day the Starrs took over the airwaves in Ghana and hasn’t gone mute just yet.
Ice Prince, who flew in from Nigeria together with comedian Basketmouth to feature on the very first 'STARR DRIVE, ' said he was delighted to be called to support the 'Starrs'.
“When Bola Ray says come out, you got to come out. You come out to Nigeria for us too so we will do same for you,” he said.
The Oleku Starr is confident tonight's party will be nothing less than a let-loose-and-have-fun event.
“We are expecting to have fun and expecting the party to be alive at Bella Roma.”
According to him, “every time we come down here to Ghana it’s just extra fun for us not just with our fans but also with our friends… Accra is my second home.”
Also expected at the event is Screen goddess Joselyn Dumah, Chop Tick, and all the Starr presenters.
