The Obra Spot in Accra on Saturday hosted over 2000 people to a day’s Hepatitis B free screening.
Powered by Okyeame Kwame’s One Mic Entertainment in collaboration with MDC-Lancet, the event was oversubscribed by beneficiaries who came in their numbers to know their statuses.
Every year Okyeame Kwame’s Hepatitis B Campaign, with the help of MDS-Lancet Laboratories and MTN Ghana Foundation conduct clinics around the country, screening and counseling people for free.
This year’s event saw a week-long celebration to mark World Hepatitis Day.
Series of events including a courtesy call on the Minister of Health Sherry Ayittey to solicit for support for the initiative, and a donation to the Ridge Hospital in Accra, preceded Saturday’s screening.
