Some Ghanaians women have lauded the decision by their male counterparts to join the fight for women empowerment and parity.
According to the women, who expressed joy at the launch of the newly formed “Pamperdem GH’ by Mic Gizo of Hitz FM, the decision will help bridge the gender gap faster.
There have been an increased call on men to join the gender-balanced talk with President Akufo-Addo recently launching a “He-for-She project” aim at encouraging men to be more supportive of women.
Subsequently some media houses in celebration of International Women’s Day allowed women to host flagship shows mostly dominated by men.
As part of the celebrations, an all men’s group “PamperDem GH” hosted an event dubbed’ PamperDem hangout’ to celebrate women for their hard work and support in their various homes.
The women were given a memorable treat which include makeup, massage, barbeque and other souvenirs. Celebrities such as DKB, Dr Pounds, Ayesem, Patapaa and host of others were there to entertain the guests.
But expressing their excitement at an event organized by the all-male group to “pamper” women, the ladies appealed to the men to make it a daily responsibility to treat women with care and love instead of an occasional duty.
According to the women, the idea of empowerment and equality is not to fight or compete with the male species for roles and responsibilities but a venue to enable the women contribute their quota.
PamperDem GH, led by Mic Gizo of Hitz FM is an all men group that aims to advocate for women empowerment and gender parity.
