George Quaye, Public Relations Officer of Charterhouse, has asked Ghanaians to pardon Bisa Kdei for his performance at the 2016 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards jam.
It appeared that people who were in the Volta Region, Ho, to witness the nominees jam were not satisfied with the performance of the highlife artiste. They have criticized him for what they consider as an abysmal stage performance.
But spokesman for the organisers, George Quaye has said that Bisa Kdei was not feeling well on the night, a possible reason for his unimpressive performance on the night.
“I know he wasn’t feeling well on the night. Some people will say it is not an excuse but to be fair to the gentleman… It was at the last minute. You can get sick at any time. I’m sure he will have other opportunities to prove himself. Let’s pardon the young man on this nominees jam,” he said on Peace FM’s Entertainment review.
George Quaye also mentioned that the weather was a big challenge since it rained midway through the show.
“Let’s congratulate those who did well… Generally, the artistes gave up their best… In as much as I wouldn’t want to make any excuse for any artiste, I think the weather was a challenge. I’m sure they will take the feedback in good fate and try to perfect their act,” he said.
