In the past week, there have been reports on various entertainment platforms attributed to Pastor Obinim to the effect that he made Atom’s ”Ye Wo Krom” popular. To establish the truth of the assertion made by Pastor Obinim, Flex Newspaper had an exclusive interview with Atom on the issue.

Reliable information received from Atom indicates that Pastor Obinim blessed his music CD but can confirm that the CD that was blessed did not have the ”ye wo krom” song on it. Atom noted that the last time he worshipped in Pastor Obinim’s church was in 2014 but composed the song in 2015.

Quite unfortunately, Atom also revealed that the songs on the CD that Pastor Obinim blessed did not become hits but he could not say Pastor Obinim lied with respect to him making ”ye wo krom” popular with the explanation that prayers he must have received from Pastor Obinim may have also helped him in getting a popular song out of ”ye wo krom”.

Atom noted that Pastor Obinim is one of his three Spiritual fathers who consistently pray for him and his music career even though he declined to mention the names of the other two pastors.

Atom has currently released a new single ” Kwansema” and has indicated that even though Pastor Obinim has not specifically blessed that song, he believes the song would soon become a hit as Pastor Obinim and his other Spiritual fathers always pray for him and his music career. According to Atom, he would not say Obinim lied about making ”ye wo krom” popular but explained that Pastor Obinim may have thought that the song was part of the songs on the CD he blessed.

Meanwhile, Atom’s ”ye wo krom” has been nominated in the Hiplife Song of the Year and the Most Popular Song of the Year categories and he, as an artiste, has also been nominated in the Best New Artiste of the Year category. In the Hiplife Song of the category, he comes up against Donzy’s Crusade which features Kofi Kinaata, EL’s Koko, Wisa’s Ekikime featuring Luther, Guru’s Pooley Swag and VVIP’s Skolom which features Sena Dagadu.

For the Vodafone Most Popular Song of the Year category, he has VVIP – Skolom feat. Sena Dagadu, Bisa Kdei – Mansa, Nicholas Omane Acheampong – Aporsor, Stonebwoy – Go Higher, Wisa – Ekikime feat. Luther and E.L – Mi Naa Bo Po to contend with and he comes up against Nero X, Teephlow, Donzy, Wisa and Kofi Kinaata in the Best New Artiste of the Year category.
