Entertainment pundit Arnold Asamoah-Baidoo has emphasised the need for accountability among pastors when their prophecies do not come to fruition.
In a discussion on UTV's United Showbiz on October 12, 2024, Arnold stated that contradictory prophecies from some prophets undermine trust and respect for Christianity.
He believes that calling out a prophet whose prophecies do not manifest will reduce fake revelations that are likely to cause unrest in the country.
"I think it's high time if a prophet makes a declaration and it does not manifest, we should call him out. If you remember when the Ghana Police Service issued a directive for pastors not to make any declaration on 31st December?
"If the police service is able to do the same on these pastors, I also think it will reduce contradictory prophecies," he said.
Arnold also supported the former Church of Pentecost Chairman, Apostle Opoku Oniyah's act of asking pastors to desist from prophesying the outcome of elections publicly.
"I agree with what Apostle Opoku Onyinah is saying because all that he said in his article is true... We have been witnessing these prophecies, especially during elections and it is not right" he added.
His statements come in response to recent prophecies from various pastors, including Rev. Owusu-Bempah, who predicted Mahama's victory in the forthcoming 2024 election.
