Musician Justice Amoah popularly known as Patapaa, has expressed his anger at pastor Benjamin Kessie of the True Faith Revival Ministry, who is said to have spiritually buried his hit song, ‘One Corner’.

Pastor Kessie is reported to have buried the popular song that became the talk of town some seven years ago for reasons best known to him.

However speaking Sunday, June 16, 2024, on the ‘Experiences in life’ programme on Angel TV, the Agona Swedru-based musician demanded that the pastor rescind his actions so he could revive his song.

“The song is like someone standing at a corner waiting for the traffic light to turn green before crossing,” he stated.

He questioned the pastor’s actions, asking whether the song’s content was deemed inappropriate or offensive to warrant such drastic measures.

In response to the incident, the Founder of Heaven’s Gate Ministries, Prophet Nicholas Kumchacha, stated he would have physically confronted the pastor who buried Patapaa’s song in solidarity.

Patapaa further questioned the rationale behind the pastor’s decision, emphasizing that traffic lights are a common feature and his song simply portrays someone waiting to cross at an intersection. He reiterated that burying the song was unwarranted and caused it to be overlooked.

The controversy highlights differing interpretations of the popular song and its cultural impact, sparking debate among fans and critics alike.
