Patapaa grabs an award at DJ’s Awards night

Swedru-based afro-beats artiste Patapaa Amisty’s popular ‘One Corner’ song has been adjudged the song of the year at the 2018 Ghana DJ Awards.

This year’s Ghana DJ Awards was successfully held at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) on Saturday, May 5, 2018.

The crème of the nation’s DJs gathered to be rewarded for their excellence in disc jockeying in the year under review. Among the winners were DJ Vyrusky, DJ Slim, King Lagazee, Vision DJ, DJ Mic Smith, DJ Shiwaawa and DJ Nyce. Patapaa also scooped the DJ song of the year after his hit song “One Corner” beat off competition from other nominated songs.

Best Highlife DJ of the year – Oyoko Dehyi3

Best Hiplife DJ of the year – DJ Slim

Reggae/Dancehall DJ of the year – King Lagazee

Best Male Radio DJ of the year – DJ Slim

DJ song of the year – One Corner (Patapaa)

Life Achievement Award of the year recipient – Mark Okraku Mantey

Best International DJ of the year – Cuppy Music

DJ/Artiste Collaboration of the year – DJ Vyrusky (Adwenfi ft Kuami Eugene and Shatta Wale)

Record Promoter of the year – DJ Vyrusky

Best Female DJ of the year – DJ Nyce

Gospel DJ of the year – Papa Bills

Best Campus DJ of the year – iPhone DJ

Best Nightclub DJ of the year – Vision DJ

Scratch DJ of the year – DJ Mpesempese

Best Event DJ of the year – DJ Mic Smith

Artiste DJ of the year – DJ Shiwaawa
