Patapaa has become arrogant – Former Manager

Godfred Bokpin, manager of ‘one corner’ hit maker Patapaa has said that,he is no more working with his artiste because the artiste has become excessively proud of himself.

Speaking to an Accra based Hitz FM on the Saturday, Godfred Bokpin said,the one-time hit maker was down to earth when they started business last year but same cannot be said about him months after he gained fame following his hit song, ‘One Corner’.

Mr. Bokpin disclosed that Patapaa has become opinionated forgetting his calmness when he was not the famous man the country knew a few months back.

According to him, he believes the musician’s newly found egoistic behaviour is as a result of his fame.

Godfred further advised his former artiste to forget the fame he is enjoying now and still be the humble boy he used to be because he cannot be named among the successful musicians in the country.

“It is important for him to be calm like how he started. He was very humble when we started working. The fame entered his head and it is making him feel he’s gotten to that place but for me who stood to help, I don’t see he’s reached where he is supposed to be.

He has bigger space ahead of him.” Godfred Bokpin said on the show.

He quickly added that his former artiste had no one around him when they started business but things have changed now with several people always around him.

“His parents gave him to me with the reason that they do not want me to leave him. In the beginning, there was nobody close to him. He used to say that he doesn’t have anybody aside me and nobody has supported his career.

Now after the fame, today you will see a new person and the next day another person will appear with comments that these are the people who have helped me from childhood.”
