Pati Boi Speck In the R&B world of foreign music industries where the male and female gender dominates the other genres of music, it is not so in Africa and to be precise Ghana. One Ghanaian boy who is determined to change the face of our music industry is no other person than Pati Boi Speck. Pati has not made his first splash onto the music scene yet but I bet you internet surfers, you will be in love with his style when he?s out.
And guess who exactly this new chap is trying to be? Pati is planted firmly in the R&B and wants to make it a reality as an R&B artiste. Bringing a unique style to the Ghanaian music industry, his storylines are going to be about love and life and doesn?t want to talk about immoral acts. He believes his duty is to educate the youth and advise them.
When Ghana Music.Com asked him what his upcoming album will be like, he said,"This album will bring me to the limelight with the help of God, so people expect a better title from me cos i'm taking bits and pieces out of stars like R. Kelly, Craig David, P. Diddy, Usher, Joe and Jaheim".We believe people will surely follow his style of singing after he?s come out.
R&B is not his only style but can also sing other genres of Ghanaian music, his intention is to take his form of R&B to Africa and UK just like hiplife.
Pati also added that the lyrics of musicians and their video clips should have the same concept, he thinks pumping money into making a video clip is not a bad idea because video clips serves a lot.
He was born as Patrick Teye Dasinor (No wonder his stage name is Pati Boi Speck) to Mr. and Mrs. Dasinor on the 6th October. The Ga-Adangme dude has got 2 brothers and a sister, Coincidentally his brother is also an R&B musician. Pati started his early schooling at Belfort Preparatory and JSS and proceeded to Okuapemman Secondary School.
He is currently at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) pursuing Materials Engineering and that doesn't affect his music at all he has time for writing articles, listening to music (all types) and commenting on them, acting, indulging in necessary chatting and making new friends, writing songs and dancing (any type of dance).
His songs are a blend of R&B, rap, cools and a little bit of pop music. Ghana Music.Com asked him why he?s not entered the music scene and he answered by saying "I am working on my voice, learning how to dance and in search of a producer and manager who is in line with what I am doing before coming out with master copies of my songs. I want to come out with something unique, stylish and splendid so why the rush? People will surely hear from me soon, One thing is that I don?t perform with demos because demos are subjected to changes."
When Pati Boi Speck was asked what his ultimate goal in the music industry was, he sat back smiled and said, "My goal is to make R&B music popular in Ghana and beyond".
"My belief is a little bit different but I know for sure that R&B would be accepted in the music industry and I?m featuring some hiplife artistes on my R&B album. One thing is that a lot of people look at the artistes being featured on the album before they get copies of it but I think that is not right".
His last words were, "expect me bad, expect me soon that is real soon. Expect my album near you and I need your prayers because it?s not easy breaking the hiplife jinx which has already been created".
