Ghanaian youth activist, writer and medical practitioner, Patrick Fynn has been selected to attend the World Youth Forum in Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt to be held in November 1-6, 2018

Under the patronage of President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi, the World Youth Forum will be hosting a representation of over 60 international delegations who will take part in the forum, in an effort to explore key issues facing youth and determine their role in implementing global development goals and combating terrorism.

The program will engage youth from around the globe in an enriching set-up, allowing them to exchange views and recommend initiatives to decision-makers and influential figures. Delegates will engage with top policymakers, network with promising youth to discuss different topics with the aim of finding solutions to common challenges that face them as youth.

The World Youth Forum program is divided into various pillars, tackling themes and topics of interest to international youth, creating a platform to express views, present ideas and share experiences throughout its sessions.

Patrick Fynn will join other participants to represent their countries in a model Arab African Summit to highlight their potentials and cooperation opportunities with other fellow states of the African and Arab nations. By assuming the roles of several Member States, delegates will be able to share diverse perspectives and formulate various solutions with regards to several topics during the discussion.

According to the official website, the WYF was founded to send a message of peace, prosperity, harmony, and progress to the entire world.

The idea of the forum was originally proposed on April 25 2017, when a group of young Egyptians presented an initiative at the National Youth Conference in Ismailia to engage in dialogue with youth around the world.

The President responded to the initiative on 24 July 2017 at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina during the National Youth Conference in Alexandria, launching the First World Youth Forum, which was held in Sharm El-Sheikh in November 2017.

The World Youth Forum agenda is divided into various tracks, tackling themes and topics of interest to international youth, creating a platform to express views, present ideas and share experiences throughout its sessions.
