Former Asante Kotoko player, Sarfo Gyamfi has taken a swipe against clubs that intends to slash player salaries amid Coronavirus storm.
In the wake of the suspension of the Ghana Premier League due to the Coronavirus pandemic, clubs have requested players to welcome the discussions of pay cut to ease the financial burden.
According to Sarfo Gyamfi, it is not right for clubs in the country to embark on pay cut and has described it as abnormal.
“For me, I am against pay cut. Have you seen a player who takes pension pay after his career? He quizzed.
“We don’t get pension pay after football. If a player do not do anything while playing actively that will be the end of his life when he retires. So why do you decide to reduce salaries o players because of convid” he told Angel FM in Kumasi.
