Obviously not much pleased with the “revelation” by colleague actress, Yvonne Nelson that his girlfriend resides in the UK in a recent interview she granted, versatile actor John Dumelo has debunked that assertion and described it as a “joke”.
According to a report by Nigeriafilms.com’s, John Dumelo claims that Yvonne Nelson couldn’t have been serious about the comments she made since “she was only playing with people’s minds”.
“I have watched the Yvonne Nelson's video interview and I think Yvonne Nelson was not serious with her statement. I know when Yvonne Nelson is serious and when she's joking. She was acting in the interview so there is no need taking her statement serious. My girlfriend is not in UK” he is reported to have said.
But Yvonne Nelson in an interview she granted Nigerian Television, Ndani TV few weeks ago where she confirmed she once dated Nigerian singer, Inyanya, in a response as to whether she was dating John Dumelo remarked, “John is like my brother. He's a Fante guy…”
She went further and said “John has a girlfriend. John has a girlfriend....in London I guess”. When she later realized the impact of her statement, she added “He’s going to kill me!”
Well, since the news broke out that John Dumelo’s girlfriend resides abroad, many have wondered if it could be Harina Alexander Dembele, the alleged US based wife of the award winning actor but it seems the dude is in no mood to reveal his girlfriend’s identity.
He says that he will reveal his girlfriend’s identity at the right time since it is not mandatory to do so now.
“It is not a must to tell people who I am dating or if am dating or not but my girlfriend is not in UK”, he said.
