Ghanaian international DJ & Producer, Ronald Banful, known in showbiz as GuiltyBeatz, has selected his performances at the 02 Arena, London, United Kingdom, as the most notable achievements for the year 2018.
Recalling the historical events in his music career in an interview with Chauffeur Prince Benjamin on Class Drive (CD) on Class 91.3 FM, on Wednesday, 28 November 2018, the ‘Akwaaba’ hitmaker said: “That’s the highlight of this year for me – the 02 Arena [with] 21,000 people [in attendance] and first time [for me]. I did it twice actually. So that was Afro Republik and we did another one – BBC Live… that one I was DJing at the same venue. That one was 17,000 people… So, imagine, this year alone…”
The Afro Republik was held on Saturday, 26 May 2018 while the BBC Live event was held on Saturday, 22 September 2018.
Since it’s opening 11 years ago, the 02 Arena has been a venue for big concerts for global music stars like Britney Spears, Rihanna, Justin Bieber, Ed Sheeran, Beyoncé, Sade, Coldplay, Bryan Adams and Drake, among others. In 2015, it was named the world’s most visited venue for the 8th year in a row.
