Performing on political platforms helps me retrieve my E-levy – King Paluta

Award-winning musician, King Paluta, has urged Ghanaians to desist from attacking artistes who perform on political platforms.

According to him, performing on political platforms does not necessarily mean they are supporting a particular political party.

“Aside business they should know that we are not enemies. It is us against them. If a brother is winning we have to be happy for them. Do you know the E-levy I’ve paid? I’m always sending money. If I shoot a video and send GH¢50,000 to the movie director, I pay an e-levy of GH¢ 5,000."

"So if I have an opportunity to get some money that will make up for the losses I’ve made, you say I should not go? What are you talking about? They should stop attacking us,” he said.
