Gospel music icon, Bishop Peter Kayode, will on Sunday, December 28 launch his new hit single at the Awakeners Chapel International located at Agape Junction, Ablekuma in Accra.
The launch, which is expected to be graced by a host of personalities, would see the gospel musician sign autographs for his fans and also take photographs with them.
The new single ‘Arise And Shine’, according Pastor Kayode, is yet to enjoy airplay on all the local radio stations throughout the country.
He disclosed that being in the music industry for over a decade has given him the opportunity to use music to educate the masses about the teachings of Christ Jesus, adding, “My passion for gospel music is very strong. I am happy that all my songs have attracted a lot of people. My new single, Arise And Shine is inspirational and soul-touching song.”
Bishop Pastor Kayode told BEATWAVES that his ministry enables him to use his musical works to transform people and win them over for Christ and not for monetary gains.
He said the event would also offer him the opportunity to interact with his fans “and tell them that I’m really back again to do what they love about me. I’ve enjoyed the support of many Ghanaians, right from the very day I released my first a decade ago till now and I’m very grateful to that.”
Having sung for several years, Bishop Kayode has the voice that appeals to every living soul. His music is basically a combination of traditional gospel rhythms and other danceable gospel tunes.
Last Saturday, Pastor Peter Kayode was ordained by the Great Achievers, in collaboration with the Councils of Bishops and Apostles in Spain.
The ceremony, held at the Proven God Bible Ministry at Dome Pillar 2 in Accra, was performed by the founder of Great Achievers, Archbishop Prince Nnams.
