The New Patriotic Party recently held a National Thanksgiving Service for the successful election of party officers and flagbearer for the 2016 general elections.
The party themed the occasion “Thus far the lord has brought us” taken from 1 Samuel 7:12.
Aside thanking God for his mercies and favour, rich culture was on display from both males and females.
Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo leading his team in prayer and worship spotted a white linen shirt with the blue and red colours of the NPP over a blue back trouser accentuated by a sizeable bible. ‘Mi lady’ Rebecca looked splendid as usual in her outfit as well.
Running mate Bawumia and wife put in a sublime combination which added colour to the event.
Others such as flagbearer aspirants, former president and other heavyweights were also in attendance displaying a blend of western/political suits and local ‘ntama’, smock and kaftans.
The dress code appeared to be white and regal ladies lighted up the room with assorted fabrics ranging from silk, kaftan, linen and wax.
Hardcore followers were also in attendance with a man adorning himself with an NPP themed cloth and headband laced with a key holder and a matured woman dressed as a schoolgirl in white socks and sandals with a matching head gear in anticipation of the free SHS package promised by an Akufo Addo presidency certainly takes the biscuit.
Enjoy the photos.
