Rap Doctor and the Chief Executive Officer of One Mic Entertainment, Okyeame Kwame, has served music fans with a new album titled “Mere Twen Wo” meaning “Waiting for You” at the Forecourt of Grand Casamora Hotel at East Legon, in Accra.
The new song in the reggae vein talks about the basic things some young men do whiles preparing for the arrival of a lover involving cleaning the chamber and stocking room with items to impress the first time guest.
He explained that, a man should not only prepare his room but the heart as well which indeed is the centre of love.
Friends and industry people invited to witness the launch of the new single could not help but appreciate the reggae touch and lyrics of “Mere Twen Wo”, demonstrating their love by dancing the night away with the rap doctor dishing out the tune with a live band performance.
It appears the reggae/dancehall genre has come to stay and with artistes such as Edem and Trigmatic incorporating such style into their music, it was only a matter of time before Okyeame Kwame dropped his version.
Fans can access and download “Mere Twen Wo” at mtnplay.com.gh.
Okyeame Kwame revealed at the launch that by popular request, “The Versatile Show” will be staged again on December 21 at the National Theatre.
The show which was held on November 8th at the National Theatre spanned music, drama, comedy and poetry.
