Photos of a bride who observers say looked very sad on her wedding day are trending on social media.
The photos have sparked a debate online as to why the couple appeared to be unhappy about the wedding.
Some Facebooker users argued the two were probably being forced to get married by their relatives.
Somme commentators suggested that the woman was marrying the man just for his money, hence her apparent sadness.
A Facebook user, Leonard Monikey, claimed the bride settled for the groom after ignoring other men that approached her in her youth.
“She spent her 20s + early 30s being a radical Feminist on social media, saying she will not marry a guy who earns less dan #200K a month… but see where it ended her,” he said.
Some commenters, however, condemned the attempt by social media users to poke their nose into the affairs of the newly-wed.
“They are married and that is what matters,” Facebook user Uzoamaka Obiakor said.
