On October 3 the trendy Ring Road based, STARR 103.5FM was officially launched with and impressive and colourful ceremony at the Labadi Beach Hotel and award-winning TV host, Anita Erskine was the MC.
The corporate launch was attended by the crème de la crème of society and dignitaries from all walks of life.
Among the attendees were Members of Parliament, the founder of the station, Dr. Kwabena Duffour together with his wife and children, the station’s partners, The Director of Programs at Joy 99.7fm Mr. Kofi Ansah, Carl Tuffour, Adjetey Annang, CEO of 4stye TV among others.
Iron Boy, Abrantie Amakye Dede and others thrilled the guests to the best of live band performances. The CEO of STARR 103.5fm, Mr. Nathaniel Kwabena Anokye-Adisi, Bola Ray reiterated that the station is poised on providing its listeners with nothing but the very best in terms of education, information and entertainment. He added that the station will be rolling out the biggest events and promotions at all times.
STARR FM with just little over 1 month of official transmission can boast of over 72 staff members. The star studded team comprises of the following among others; Chief Executive Officer -Bola Ray, General Manager Operations- Cox Tamakloe, General Manager Finance and Administration- David Baffour Awuah, Sales Manager- Kojo Julius Antwi, Programs Manager- Robert Kafui Dey, Naa Ashorkor Doku-Mensah, Jon Germain, DJ French Kiss, Mr Perfect, Nii Ayi Tagoe and more.
The EIB Company can also boast of Ultimate Radio- Kumasi, Empire fm-Takoradi, Cool fm – Cape Coast, Agoo fm- Nkwakaw and a new radio soon in Accra. Starr fm on this coming Tuesday will christen their newsroom in the memory of the late Komla Afeke Dumor which will be known as the Komla Afeke Dumor newsroom.
