A new film produced and directed by Fiifi Coleman titled ‘Pieces of Me,’ premieres tonight, July 31 at the Silverbird Cinemas, West Hills Mall at Weija in the Greater Accra Region.

The film has created a buzz in cinema circles due to the calibre of actors in it. The cast includes Akofa Edjeani, Ecow Smith-Asante, Fred Amugi, David Dontoh, Abeiku Acquah, Adjetey Anang and Irene Opare.

David Dontoh told The Mirror in a chat that the stellar cast came about because the film’s director was looking for a professional team to execute his vision for the work.

The main character in the film is taken on by Akofa Edjeani who plays the role of a businesswoman called Sally Badoo.

Her business interests don’t go well. She sets out to find the causes behind bad run and also why her love life seems to be constantly hitting roadblocks.

Her onscreen nemesis, Lerato Kweina, is played by South African spoken word performance artist, Napo Masheane. Her seething vindictiveness, flavoured with perfectly- timed comedic moments, adds a sweet tinge to the film.

‘Pieces of Me’ had earlier last March premiered to an appreciative audience in Washington DC in the United States.

“The US premiere went extremely well but we knew we had to bring the movie

home, where it was made and to the audience it was meant for. We are excited to celebrate its official African release in Ghana tonight at 6.00pm and 8.00pm,” the film’s director said.
