Award-winning Ghanaian instrumentalist Mizter Okyere has advised every parent to support his/her child who is learning how to play a musical instrument.

The VGMA 2019 instrumentalist of the year gave this advice in an exclusive interview listened by wysepromotions.com on Radio Central’s drive with Amansan Krakye.

“I will tell every parent whose child wants to learn how to play any musical instrument never to discourage him or her.

Today I can go to ex-president Kufour, current president Akufo-Addo. Who am I to meet them if not this instrument that I play.

So every parent has to encourage his/her child to learn how to play and also focus on their books.

They can also play at churches because it’s the best place to learn how to play instruments”, he said.

He also disclosed that playing an instrument pays a lot and he can take the amount the musicians take.

Mizter Okyere is known for playing saxophone and he has been playing for Sarkodie, Samini among others.
