Police arrests alleged armed robber

Nsawam, May 6, GNA -The Nsawam Police have arrested Inusa Nulu-Din alias "Phobia", a notorious armed robber at his hide-out at the Mobil Filling Station at Nsawam on Thursday.

Nulu-Din had been on the police wanted list for some time now at Djankrom and Aman-Katakyi, both suburbs of Nsawam.

Police Superintendent Otchere Boapea, Commanding Officer in-charge of the Nsawam Police, told the Ghana News Agency in an interview that the armed robber was arrested upon a tip-off.

Supt. Boapea said when Nulu-Din was searched after his arrest, four wrappers suspected to be Indian hemp were found concealed in his pocket, together with an amount of 2.5 million cedis.

The Commanding Officer said the armed robber would soon be put before court.

The crowd that watched the arrest, cheered the police and appealed to the Inspector-General of Police to reward the Nsawam Police for their good work.
