Politics retold in ‘Shampaign’

Last week Friday saw masses throng the Silverbird Cinema, Accra Mall, for the premiere of episodes 11&12 of Shirley Frimpong Manso’s Shampaign.

Shampaign, a political drama series reveals the unruly lives of a young political campaign team working tirelessly to make political history.

In their bid to get a single mother elected as the first female president, the chapters unfold on the secret life of Naana Akua Quansah played by Joselyn Dumas (President) who has to excel in her capacity as presidential candidate while having to deal with betrayal, the kidnap of her son, abandonment by her husband which turned out to be just a few of her own ‘demons’ she had to deal with.
