Accra, April 7, GNA - Fuseni Hamdzia, a porter at the Agbogbloshie Market, was on Friday remanded in Police custody by an Accra Circuit Court for inflicting blade wounds on a salesgirl. Helina Musah, the complainant, who appeared in court with plastered face, looked sick and weak.
Hamdzia's plea was not taken. She would reappear on April 21. Prosecuting, Police Chief Inspector Margaret Awuni told the Court that sometime in March the accused visited her sister living in the same house with Miss Musah. Miss Musah, who was then preparing porridge accidentally, threw some particles she removed from the porridge on Hamdzia but she immediately apologized to her. Hamdzia was not satisfied and picked up a quarrel with Miss Musah but they were separated.
Chief Inspector Awuni said the next day when Miss Musah closed from work and was on her way home, Hamdzia attacked her with a blade and inflicted wounds on her face. Passers-by at the scene rescued Miss Musah and arrested Hamdzia and handed her over to the Police.
