Ten couples last Sunday exchanged the marriage vows at a mass wedding ceremony at the Poyer Memorial Presbyterian Church at Bantama in Kumasi. They included a 76 year-old man and his 66 year-old wife.
The Reverend C.B. Ahwireng, District Pastor said marriage thrives on love, mutual respect and Godliness and not the craze for material wealth.
He said for a marriage to succeed the couple must seek solution to their problems and challenges through prayer to strengthen them, deepen their love and give them peace and understanding.
"It is only cowards that resort to divorce in the face of conflicts and misunderstanding because these are bound to happen in marriage but the solution always lies in prayer".
