The most versatile member of hiplife trio Praye born Eugene Boadu Baah popularly known as “Praye Honeho” (Choir Master) has graduated from the National Film and Television Institute (NAFTI).
The colourful graduation ceremony took place last Saturday February 13th 2010 at the Atlantics Oval on the University of Ghana Campus. Eugene appeared at the ceremony at exactly 7:45am dressed in his graduation gown, for his big day. The programme started exactly 9am and ended at 1pm.
The red lips singer graduated with Bachelor of Fine Arts in Animation from the Nation’s Premier Film institute. His group mates Praye Tiatia and Praye Tintin and family members were there to support him. Speaking to peacefmonline on Saturday evening Eugene couldn’t hide his joy “I am very happy today by the grace of the Almighty God I have graduated successfully. I thank God and all those who supported me to be able to do this” he said.
Eugene also won an award the Friday prior to his graduation day at the NAFTI premises, for the “Best Animation Production” in his year group. Asked if the Degree will change anything in his life and his music career, Eugene said this will not stop him from doing his music but has rather added something else to his life which he can explore anytime.
Praye Honeho who was cooling off at home and reflecting on his graduation with his fiancée actress Beverly Afaglo, told peacefmonline that he intends to set up his own advertising company to be able to employ his other colleagues who graduated with him.
Asked whether he would consider going into film production or acting, Eugene said “No, for film production I don’t have any intention to go into it now but for acting I will say yes. I’m definitely going into acting. So if there is any producer who wants me to play any role for him; why not, but only in quality movies” he said.
Eugene also disclosed to peacefmonline that he and his management EKB Records are planning to put up a big Graduation Party, possibly at Reggie’s Office on a date which will be announced later, to thank all his friends, fans and family.
